Runs on 2 AA batteries. Newly designed hardware and firmware. Removable adaptor allows gauge to fit on 1 1/2” tank opening. When using outside, requires use of silicon cap and Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries (available in stores). BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED.
You can buy these in your local store; we offer them here as a convenience. When using your Alice 4.0 outside, regular AA alkaline batteries will have a short life. Energizer Ultimate Lithium 1.6v AA batteries are recommended for use for your Alice 4.0 when placing outside. (This is NOT the right battery for Alice 1, 2 and 3; those require ONE 3.6v lithium metal battery).
For use with Alice 1, 2 and 3. This is a 3.6v lithium METAL battery. This is NOT the correct lithium battery for use on Alice 4.0. Although the Alice 1, 2 and 3 use only one battery, we ship two as lithium batteries have a “sleep” issue and do not always wake up, so we send two to be sure that one will wake up. (If the first one works fine, keep the other on hand as a spare.)
If you have broken the plastic clips inside your adaptor you can order a replacement. This adaptor will work on all Alice 2, 3 and 4 models. To see how to remove and attach the adaptor go to the FAQ page and search for “Adaptor”.
The Alice gauge is compatible with the following tank types:
The Alice gauge can work with nearly any above ground heating oil or kerosene tank. If you have a different tank than those shown above, please contact us.
The Alice gauge comes in one size with an adaptor that allows it to fit both 2” and 1.5” fittings on the top of the tank. The adaptor can be difficult to remove. If you need assistance with that, see our FAQ page and search for “Adaptor”.
All gauges come with a silicon cap. You only need to use this if your tank is outside.
The Alice app is available for iOS and Android devices.
The gauge requires a wifi connection to transmit data. If you do not have wifi in your house, this will not work for you. If you have an underground tank, or use an extension pipe to mount the gauge on your tank, this will not work for you.
